Australia’s Immigration Program has a variety of ‘Streams’ (options) available to persons who wish to reside either temporarily or permanently in Australia.  The different ‘Streams’ include, but are not limited to:


Student Visas

For persons wishing to further their education by obtaining an internationally recognised qualification.  In some cases, studying in Australia can make a person eligible to apply for a permanent visa.

General Skilled Migration

Persons can apply under this stream providing they are aged under 45 years, speak English and have a qualification and work experience in their nominated occupation or closely related.

Your occupation must be on the Skilled Occupation List.

Business Skills

This category forms part of the Skill Stream of the Australian migration program and is for people who are owners (or part-owners) of a business (or businesses), senior executives employed by major businesses or business employees with a high level of management skill who intend to use their business skills to obtain a substantial ownership interest in a new or existing business in Australia and actively participate in that business.
